Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice - Human Services Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Human Services is a 183-credit-hour program that is offered online and at the Colorado campuses. The program consists of 66 credit hours of general education requirements; 56 credit hours devoted to the criminal justice core; and 61 credit hours for the human services concentration.
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Human Services is designed to provide a foundation in law enforcement, the courts, and corrections with special emphasis on the coursework needed for professional work in chemical dependency counseling and youth services.

Mission Statement
The mission of the College of Security Studies is to offer degrees in criminal justice, homeland security, and cybersecurity to create the professionals that will address issues these fields are facing today and likely to confront tomorrow. BSCJ Program prepares the student to:
• Possess the knowledge and skills to help secure a position in the criminal justice field
• Identify/recognize the diverse needs of the criminal justice system and the public it serves
• Apply communication, professional skills and technical knowledge in the criminal justice field
• Demonstrate knowledge of the core activities and skills of the human services professional in the context of the criminal justice system

• Analyze the psychological and sociological dimensions of human behavior
