Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice - Cybercrime and Security Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Cybercrime and Security is a 182-credit-hour program that is offered online and at the Colorado campuses. The program consists of 66 credit hours of general education requirements; 56 credit hours devoted to the criminal justice core; and 60 credit hours for the cybercrime and security concentration.
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Cybercrime and Security is designed to provide a solid foundation in law enforcement, the courts, and corrections, while helping students develop a baseline understanding of one of the emerging types of 21st century crime. The concentration is designed to provide a basic understanding and literacy of computer networks and their vulnerabilities along with material examining risk management as well as terrorism and criminal threats.
Mission Statement
The mission of the College of Security Studies is to offer degrees in criminal justice, homeland security, and cybersecurity to create the professionals that will address issues these fields are facing today and likely to confront tomorrow. The College anticipates industry and enterprise trends that have significant societal impact in order to provide diverse programs that cultivate professional competencies, critical-thinking, ethical decision-making, and cultural sensitivity to promote social justice and global security.
