Doctor of Management - Healthcare Management and Leadership Concentration
The Doctor of Management with a concentration in Healthcare Management and Leadership is a 100-credit-hour terminal degree in management. The program includes 40 credit hours of core management courses, 20 credit hours of health care management and leadership concentration courses, 4 credit hours of symposium-related courses, and 36 credit hours of doctoral research. The research element will culminate in a dissertation.
The Doctor of Management is a terminal degree for management professionals. The program helps students prepare to think and act strategically and provides the opportunity to enhance their abilities to make positive contributions in their chosen area of management expertise. The healthcare management and leadership concentration is designed for students interested in pursuing opportunities as administrative leaders in the healthcare industry. The program focuses on helping students work to develop the skill set needed to navigate progressive healthcare organizations and to act as consultants striving to improve healthcare systems. Students are presented with in-depth knowledge of management theories and the background to successfully participate in healthcare organizations.

Graduation Requirements
In addition to the successful completion of 100 credit hours with an acceptable GPA, students must also satisfactorily complete their research proposal and final dissertation. The research proposal must be approved by the student’s Research Supervisor and University Reviewer. The dissertation, which must be approved by the student’s dissertation committee, is an extensive document that includes the research study. In addition, graduation requires presentation of the final dissertation.
Symposium
