Doctor of Management- Criminal Justice Concentration
The Doctor of Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice is a 100-credit hour terminal degree in management. The program includes 40 credits hours of core management courses, 20 credit hours devoted to the criminal justice concentration, 4 credit hours of symposium-related courses, and 36 credit hours of doctoral research courses. The research element will culminate in a dissertation.
The Doctor of Management is a terminal degree for management professionals. This program helps students prepare to think and act strategically and provides the opportunity to enhance their abilities to make positive contributions in their chosen area of management expertise. The concentration in criminal justice is designed to encourage the professional development of managers through mentoring, action research, and practical projects and the development of leadership skills in policy development, planning and decision making in the criminal justice system.

The program emphasizes three areas of focus: Research and Writing; Leadership and Change Management; and the specific concentration discipline.
Graduation Requirements
In addition to the successful completion of 100 credit hours with an acceptable GPA, students must also satisfactorily complete their research proposal and final dissertation. The research proposal must be approved by the student’s Research Supervisor and University Reviewer. The dissertation, which must be approved by the student’s dissertation committee, is an extensive document that includes the research study. In addition, graduation requires presentation of the final dissertation.
