Directed Study Courses

CTU reserves the right to offer courses as directed studies. A directed study is defined as:

• Any course with 4 or fewer students registered.

Specific requirements of a directed study include, but are not limited to:

1. All pre-requisites for the course must be met.

2. Tuition for the directed study is charged at the same rate as a standard course.

3. All course codes, course content, timing, assignments, course materials, and any syllabi are consistent with the standard course.

4. Grades are earned in the same manner as the standard course.

5. There is no notation of the course being a directed study on the student’s transcript.

6. Directed study cannot be used in lieu of a Leave of Absence (LOA).
