Coding Dojo - Available Grants

Coding Dojo General Grant Conditions

The following conditions must be met in order to receive any Coding Dojo grant:

  • Candidates must apply and be accepted for admission to Coding Dojo.
  • Coding Dojo grants are used exclusively toward tuition and will be applied against outstanding, past, current or future charges at Coding Dojo’s discretion.
  • Student must be in attendance during the applicable session.
  • Must meet Coding Dojo guidelines for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). 
  • All grants are applied as a credit to the student's account, and no cash payment will be awarded.
  • Grants may not be combined, unless otherwise stated.
  • Grants are applied to the student's account once per program based on the availability of funds.Students must successfully complete Programming Basics before grants are posted.
  • Students who withdraw lose all current institutional grant eligibility and must reapply to be considered for future institutional grants.
  • All grants cannot be transferred or substituted.
  • Interested candidates should contact the Finance Department for additional information.

 

Open House Attendance Grant

The purpose of the Open House Attendance Grant is to encourage students to attend Open House.  At Open House students have the opportunity to explore the curriculum and learn more about Coding Dojo.  Students that attend Open House will receive a one-time $100 grant posted to their account.

  • Attendance at the Open House will be confirmed by Coding Dojo before grant is posted.
  • This grant may be combined with the Coding Dojo Advantage Grant.

  

Coding Dojo Advantage Grant

The purpose of the Coding Dojo Advantage Grant is to recognize students who face personal and/or financial hardships in pursuit of a certificate at Coding Dojo.  This grant is typically awarded up to $750.  This grant can only be applied to one program. In addition to the Coding Dojo General Grant Conditions, students must also meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must submit a minimum 500-word essay on how they intend to use the skills learned at Coding Dojo to benefit others and society.
  • Grant essay approvals and denials will be determined by the grant committee.
  • The grant recipient must be a student currently attending or enrolled for a future start at Coding Dojo.
