Financial Holds
Students are responsible for ensuring that all tuition and fees for each quarter are either paid by the student or funded from financial aid sources, which may include a cash payment agreement with CTU, prior to beginning that quarter. Students who have an outstanding debt with the University may be placed on a Financial hold and would be prevented from entering their next course if they have not made progress towards securing funding or paying their outstanding balance. Additionally, students who leave the University, whether through withdrawal or dismissal, and who wish to return will be required to either pay their outstanding balance or make satisfactory payment arrangements with the school before being able to return to classes.
Students who have an outstanding balance with the University due to unpaid tuition and fees are encouraged to enter into a payment plan to resolve that debt. Student who do not enter into a payment plan or who fail to make regular payments towards resolving that debt may have their accounts sent to a collection agency. Students may contact Student Accounts at 888-700-2510 to set up a payment arrangement.
Students who have a grievance about their Financial Aid or outstanding balance are encouraged to attempt to resolve that grievance by following the steps outlined in the Student Grievance Procedure. If students are unable to resolve their concerns through the internal grievance process, they may also contact the Federal Student Aid (FSA) Ombudsman Group. The FSA Ombudsman Group can be reached by submitting a complaint through their online system, or as outlined below.
