HCM655 Healthcare Informatics

This course establishes the knowledge for understanding informatics as it relates to healthcare. This course will examine innovative approaches in prevention, health promotion, population health, bio-surveillance, epidemiology and preparedness. Consideration is given to the use of information technology to address concerns about sharing and protecting information and system integrity in medical, clinical, and public health services. The course will address innovation in areas of informatics including data mining, data research, data analytics, and decision support.
