HCM641 Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making in Healthcare

This course will review and analyze first, leadership versus managerial theory, second, examine societal expectations for ethical behavior, and finally how regulatory scrutiny affects both leaders and managers in a healthcare organizational setting. This course will differentiate among decision problems and ethical decision-making processes in the healthcare setting. Students will also have the opportunity to examine a variety of complex ethical issues confronting healthcare industry professionals as they work with various stakeholders of a healthcare organization.
