HCM307 The Health Care Industry
This course introduces and describes the healthcare delivery system with an emphasis on its history, development and evolution in the United States. The roles of key stakeholders will be established, and students will discuss how the evolution of care and payer models has impacted consumers and providers. Students will be exposed to different types of provider organizations with a general orientation to the laws, regulations, and policies that govern the health care industry.
