MATH112 Analytic College Algebra

The course is designed to provide students with a complete review of elementary algebra. Students are introduced to the processes of simplifying rational and radical expressions. Functions are defined and the general properties of zeroes, extreme values, symmetry, transformations, and graphs are studied. Special attention is given to linear, rational, radical, and quadratic equations. Additional topics include computation with complex numbers and solving systems of linear equations with matrices and determinants. A graphing calculator or equivalent technology is required.
