PM876 Risk and Quality Management
This course is research based. As such, it provides a high-level, analytic, synthetic and evaluative approach to the twin Knowledge Areas of Project Quality Management, and Project Risk Management, employing a case-study methodology. Thus, the course requires research into a serious project quality case and a separate serious project risk case. Students are to pick one major case each for project quality management and project risk management (utilizing real-world cases, and in the best case, cases from their own experiences). Then, they must research and analyze these cases, synthesize their results, and present these to the class in evaluative form, giving professional recommendations for what should or should not have been done, and drawing applicable conclusions for project management practice.
