NRSG257 Child and Family Practicum

This course focuses on the role of the nurse in the care of children newborn through adolescents in the acute care, institutional, and ambulatory care setting. Nursing students will use the nursing process to provide care to well and ill children and the family. Wellness, safety, acute care, injury prevention, rehabilitation and social interactions will be addressed. Normal, ill and special needs children will be the primary focus for this course.
