PSYC436 Introduction to Criminal Profiling

This course will introduce students to the basic concepts behind criminal profiling or behavioral analysis. Students will analyze the interaction between criminal behavior and distinct crime scene indicators through the use of deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills with the goal of helping them to create investigative strategies for the detection, apprehension and prosecution of perpetrators. Students will also be familiarized with forensically significant mental disorders and the interaction between those disorders and crime.
