Symposium Fee

There is a symposium fee for in-person symposium events. There is no fee for virtual symposia.

The non-refundable fee of $1,000 for the in-person symposium will be charged to the student's account. The symposium fee will be billed after the add/drop period of the term in which the symposium event is scheduled. Students have up to the day prior to the start date of the session in which the symposium event is scheduled to get an approved exception on file without being charged the symposium fee. The symposium fee is essential to ensuring necessary resources are in place to facilitate and support a rich learning environment for our students. The symposium fee covers administrative costs such as facilitators, conference rooms, AV equipment, academic event materials and supplies that are associated with the symposium event. Additionally, students are required to pay for their hotel accommodations and transportation during in-person symposia. Hotel and transportation are not covered by the symposium fee. 

Please note that attendance at an in-person symposium event is not mandatory. Students have the option of attending both events virtually.
