Non-Degree Seeking Students

Colorado Technical University welcomes students who might not be actively pursuing a degree. To be considered for admission to the University as a non-degree seeking student, applicants must fulfill the admissions requirements listed below:

  1. Participate in an admissions interview with an Admissions Advisor.
  2. Submit a complete Colorado Technical University application for admission.
  3. Submit attestation of earned proof of high school graduation (or equivalency) or college degree (associates, bachelors, or masters).  Falsification of the attestation will result in dismissal from the University.
  4. Additional documentation may be required dependent upon the student’s course selection.
  5. At the time of application the applicant must be 16 years of age or older to be considered for enrollment

Non-degree seeking students may take up to 35% of a degree program before declaring to become a degree seeking student.  To be accepted into a degree program and transition from a non-degree seeking student to a degree seeking student, a non-degree seeking student must meet all admissions requirements for the degree program, including the submission of official documentation of proof of high school graduation (or equivalency) or college degree (associates, bachelors, or masters).

As a non-degree seeking student, the university will not automatically withdraw a student after participating during the first 15 days of a course.  Non-degree seeking students intending to course withdraw or withdraw from the university should contact their Student Success Coach.
