HSS121 Medical Terminology

This course is an introduction to the language of health care focusing on the construction, definition, spelling, and pronunciation of medical terms, and the definition of common abbreviations and acronyms. Students are introduced to the terminology of complementary and alternative medicine and the importance of culturally competent communication.
