HCM690 Healthcare Informatics Capstone
This course will be a capstone project where students will have a case study and will be required to use innovative IT approaches in data analytics to improve service delivery and healthcare quality. Students will be required to use innovative data analytics to develop a framework for the redesign of a patient-center electronic health data system for a health organization. The course will take the student through the entire system development life cycle process including how they will lead and management the change. The student will be required to consider security aspects, information exchange, database structure, abstracting information, reporting, and continuity and disaster recovery. The student will use knowledge of health information and delivery systems to finalize an approach that would be successful in the health care management environment
