PHIL202 Contemporary Moral & Ethical Issues

This course is designed to give students a deeper understanding of ethical theories and concepts. The coursework and course discussions will encourage students to view contemporary moral issues from different points-of-view.  Moreover, students will be encouraged to explain their reasoning from cultural, societal, religious, and personal perspectives.  Ethical theories and concepts that will be covered are: ethics of care, feminist thought, egoism, Kant’s Moral Theory, utilitarianism, and ethical reasoning.
