Bachelor of Science in Management - Cybersecurity Management
The Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program is designed to advance students’ proficiency and knowledge of business management theories, functions, and practices, while simultaneously preparing students for a management career.
The BSM-CSM concentration is designed to help students prepare for a career in cybersecurity analysis and management. The concentration combines the study of management and the basic concepts and methodologies in the field of Cybersecurity. Students are provided the opportunity to develop proficiency in management and cybersecurity techniques and principles to support career progression in the management of cybersecurity in conformance with NIST cybersecurity standards.
BSM Program Outcomes:
- Employ the functions and practices of management to identify and determine corrective actions for team performance issues.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the application of management theories and functions within a global work environment.
- Identify various management theories to best respond to organizational needs.
BSM-CSM Concentration Outcomes:
- Identify how management knowledge and skills support organizational performance as it relates to cybersecurity activities.
- Analyze business strategy and goals, with particular focus on protecting data, ensuring the privacy and integrity of sensitive information, and correcting security weaknesses.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of cybersecurity principles.
