Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Data Analytics Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics (BSBA-DA) is designed to prepare graduates for a career in business with the foundational knowledge of how to gather, process, understand, and discuss data. Students will have the opportunity to classify data and see how data analysis applies to all organizational decisions as it relates to predicting future opportunities and risks using a conceptual framework of business, statistics/math, and information technology with a focus on data mining and optimization.

BSBA-Data Analytics Prepares the students to:
  • Apply business skills and analytical problem-solving to support organizational objectives
  • Summarize how management knowledge and skills support organizational performance
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of business principles

BSBA-Data Analytics Competencies:
  • Explain data in terms of analytics, challenges, mining, and warehousing
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate and present data findings and recommendations to organizational stakeholders
  • Classify information from various sources for analysis, organization, and interpretation
  • Use statistical analysis, simulation and optimization to analyze data and consider applicable, real-world solutions
