PBAD460 Comparative International Public Administration

This course will focus on how other countries governments’ engage in public policy and governance. The course will focus on the legal, institutional, political, and policy frameworks in which select countries operate with respect to public administration and public policy.  The objective of the course is to encourage students to understand that there are many models for public administration outside the American model, and to encourage them to think critically about the assumptions underpinning why the United States governs in a certain manner given the existence of alternative models of governance practiced in other countries.
