HRMT325 Compensation and Benefits
This course reviews the design and management of compensation strategies. Students will explore approaches to compensation, the role of compensation in competitive advantage, internal consistency in both compensation and benefits, the linkage between compensation and benefits, traditional versus contemporary practices and the impact of legal mandates on compensation and benefits practices. Consideration will be given to challenges that impact compensation and benefit decisions such as global corporations, flexible work schedules, virtual employees, international employees and contingent employees.
