CS850 Networking and Security

A generation ago, business referred to the shop owner down the street. Today’s business is global; companies have offices around the world, processing data twenty-four hours a day. Keeping software synchronized, online and secure is the ongoing challenge of computer professionals. In this course, students will assess the impact on security concerns when an organization moves from a centralized system to a distributed system. This includes describing emerging security issues and risk factors and designing a secure information system.
