PN105 Pharmacology for Practical Nurses

This course is an introduction to the administration of medications in the management of physiological and psychological disorders. Major drug classifications, nursing implications, and representative drugs are discussed. Principles of medication administration, dosage calculations, ethical/ legal implications and patient teaching needs are explored. Laboratory experiences provide opportunities to practice the principles of safe medication administration.
