HIT280 Healthcare Statistics and Research

This course is a study of healthcare statistics. This course is designed for health information practitioners to understand the concepts of healthcare statistics and know how they are generated. This course introduces the leaner to the basics of statistical computation. The student will learn how and why statistics are calculated and uses of the statistical data. The student will learn methods for collection of data, effective use of data, presentation of data, and verification of healthcare data. Students will relate statistical concepts to the operations of a healthcare organization.
