CTU Children of Fallen Patriots Scholarship

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation's mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. The Foundation is dedicated to serving the families of service members from all branches of the armed forces who have died as a result of combat casualties, military training accidents, service-related illnesses, suicide, as well as other duty-related deaths as ruled by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Award Date: Effective for 2024

Scholarship Amount: CTU will award 1 individual scholarship during the 2024 calendar year to a qualified candidate. This scholarship covers full tuition for a single eligible undergraduate degree program, textbooks, and fees. The scholarship can be combined with the military tuition rate, Post 9/11 GI Bill®, and Vocational Readiness and Employment benefits.

Eligible Degree: Undergraduate Degree Program

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must meet one of the following residency requirements:
    •  be a legal resident of the United States;
    • have been granted permanent residency status;
    • have a valid visa that does not prohibit postsecondary educational studies;
    • have been granted temporary protected status along with approved Notice of Action issued by U.S. Citizen Immigration Services and verified through CIS Form G-845; or
    • have been granted asylum along with the approved Notice of Action issued by the U.S. Citizen Immigration Services.
  • Applicants must be a Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation Scholar. Fallen Patriots Scholar verification will be confirmed by the Foundation through their standard process, which evaluates documentation pertaining to the following requirements before funding is awarded:
    •  The student/child is a verified dependent of a service member
    • The service member's passing was determined to be "Line of Duty" or Service Connected" by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Applicant must meet all admissions requirements of CTU.
  • Applicants must not be an employee or family member (spouse, dependent child or domestic partner) of an employee of CTU, its parent organization, or any of their respective affiliates.
