SCM220 Transportation and Distribution Management

The course introduces the importance that transportation, warehousing, and distributions systems play in creating competitive advantage. By emphasizing operation, design, and analysis of effective transportation systems, the commercial aspects of delivering raw materials and finished products are surveyed. Students will learn about packaging techniques, transportation modes, distribution optimization, storage and warehousing. The course provides an overview of transportation problems and policies, carrier services and transportation regulation policy.
