POLS330 American Politics and Political Thought

This course surveys the development of American political thought and governance from the colonial era to the present. Issues to be addressed in the course include: the role of federalism, the development of American national identity, the role of religion in public life, the development of the political right and the political left, the role of ideas in political developments, and the role of sub-groups in American political and social development.
