HCM425 Managing the Health of Populations

This course examines population health from an epidemiologic and public health perspective. Concepts and methods are applied to managerial decision-making in the delivery of healthcare services to address community/population health issues. An evidence-based and data driven approach is used to explore the determinants of health and assess the health status and healthcare needs of populations. The role of healthcare organizations in the development of intervention strategies to improve quality and delivery of health services in the community is explored.
