NRSG255 Sophomore Leadership Practicum

The course will have a weekly seminar to support the student as they prepare for clinical practice as a registered nurse. Management and leadership principles essential to functioning successfully in today’s changing environment will be emphasized. Students will explore change theory, principles of delegation and teamwork, organizational analysis, stewardship of resources, ethical challenges, cultural sensitivity and emerging policy opportunities. Clinical experiences will be individualized according to the competency profile of the student to ensure that all of the programs’ competency parameters are met prior to graduation.
