NRSG158 Gerontological Practicum
This course provides the student with an opportunity to practice gerontological nursing. Students will use assessment skills to identify the aged patient’s mobility, cognition, nutritional status, coping skills, relationships, spiritual values, and risk for depression, infection or falls. Health promotion, maintenance and rehabilitation will be emphasized. Standards of gerontological nursing practice will provide a framework for the delivery of gerontological nursing care.
