SCM220 Transportation and Distribution Management

The course concentrates on the commercial aspects of delivering raw materials and finished products. Included are an analysis of packaging techniques, transportation modes, distribution optimization, storage and warehousing. Also covered is an overview of transportation problems and policies, carrier services and transportation regulation policy. Current commercial concepts such as transportation links in the supply chain and cross docking operations are covered.
