The Associate of Science in General Studies (ASGS) program is designed to provide a foundation for future learning and to teach the professional skills necessary for students to begin or advance in a career.
ASGS Program Competencies:
- Identify ethical standards appropriate to academic and professional settings
- Write appropriately for academic and professional situations
- Demonstrate effective oral communication skills
- Recognize different perspectives and identify strategies for effective interaction
- Demonstrate the ability to locate, evaluate, and utilize information effectively

- Demonstrate the rhetorical ability to shape perception in professional settings
