NRSG240 Nursing Leadership and Management

This course introduces students to the foundations of leadership and management issues in nursing practice. Entry level practitioners will learn the knowledge, and behaviors required to manage people as a team leader. Topics include accountability, delegation, supervision, and communication with team members. Learning laboratory sessions will include validation of team competencies, cultural influences, decision making, delegation and collaboration and communication in teams. Skills proficiency is required to successfully pass the course.
