SOCL325 Licit and Illicit Drugs

This course provides a survey of the use, abuse, and addictive nature of mood-altering chemicals of drugs including alcohol. The effects of drugs and alcohol upon behaviors and life activities will be discussed. Factors affecting drug use will be considered including history, culture, age and gender. Prevention and treatment methodologies will be discussed.
