Master of Science in Management- Cybersecurity Management
Cybersecurity is primarily about risk management and senior cyber leaders must be able to articulate their observations and recommendations within the context of the organization’s risk management program. The Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Cybersecurity Management (MSM-CSM) program is designed to help business leaders prepare for management in the area of cybersecurity through an understanding of security management, risk management, and network security principles.The program architecture consists of research methods, leadership, managerial decision-making, and technology management.
MSM Program outcomes:
- Evaluate the appropriate leadership and management actions needed across disciplines and in various global environments
- Synthesize theory and practice in day-to-day managerial decision making and organizational change
- Apply appropriate strategic, technical, operational, and ethical principles to solve organizational challenges and meet organizational goals and objectives.
MSM- CSM program competencies:
- Evaluate an organization’s core business mission in relation to cybersecurity
- Analyze and implement the appropriate strategies for improving organizational cybersecurity process and operations
- Assess threats to the cybersecurity infrastructure
- Assess the appropriate technical requirements to ensure consistency of an effective cybersecurity infrastructure
- Develop effective enterprise level cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures
