Associate of Science in Information Technology
Successful organizations use technology to find solutions to all kinds of business challenges. Individuals who understand how to work with information and technology to support a company’s operational goals are in demand in all types of businesses and industries.
The Associate of Science in Information Technology (ASIT) program satisfies the course requirements for the first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management (BSISM) degree programs.
Outcomes:
- Demonstrate an understanding of current computer networks, protocols of data communications, and the role of network management software
- Explain database concepts, discuss the capabilities of modern database systems, and apply those concepts in the design and implementation of a database to support a business
- Write programs in at least one high level programming language or scripting language using programming fundamentals
