Individuals who understand how to work with information and technology to support a company’s operational goals are in demand in all types of businesses and industries. The Associate of Science in Information Technology (ASIT) degree program satisfies the course requirements for the first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management (BSISM) degree programs.

Program Outcomes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of current computer networks, protocols of data communications, and the role of network management software
  • Explain database concepts, discuss the capabilities of modern database systems, and apply those concepts in the design, implementation, and querying of a database to support a business
  • Write programs in at least one high level programming language using programming fundamentals
